Jan Madeus has exhibited since 1986, for much of that time under his birth name, Krzysztof Jarzebinski. Trained as a painter and printmaker at the Academy of Fine Art in Kraków and long based in Berlin, he was for years a member of the BBK Berlin — the professional association of visual artists — and has worked across painting, printmaking and photography.
