Shaohan Fang 方少韩 (b. Fujian, China) is a photographer and visual artist who holds an MFA in Photography, Video, and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Working primarily with staged photography and installation, her practice explores themes of identity, intimacy, and the individual’s position within familial and social structures. Rooted in personal experience and everyday observation, her work often focuses on moments of emotional tension, silence, and disconnection, reflecting how tradition, expectation, and a sense of belonging quietly shape private relationships.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in cities including New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Limassol, and Beijing. Her images have also appeared in publications including Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar, and Numéro Switzerland. Alongside her artistic practice, she remains active in the commercial field, collaborating with brands including Gucci, Dior, Zegna, Burberry, Bvlgari, Tom Ford, and Loewe.
