Feathery fans filtering the flow

A tiny porcelain crab unfurls its delicate, feathery feeding fans into the current, filtering tiny particles of food from the passing water while nestled amonth the protective tentacles of its anemone home.

About Artist

Tammy Nicholas

I am a beginner photographer with a growing love for capturing the beauty, behaviour and fleeting moments found in the natural world. My photography so far focuses on wildlife, underwater and landscape imagery, with a particular love for the ocean and the remarkable creatures that call it home. I enjoy capturing moments that tell a story, whether it’s the quiet before a fishing fleet begins its day, whales disappearing into the deep blue, or the intricate details of life beneath the surface. Through my images, I hope to share not only what I see, but the sense of wonder, connection and curiosity I feel behind the camera.
