Telling a story, sending a message, and expressing the mind; all without using words. This is the beauty I find in photography. Not only serving as an escape from my reality, but an expression of it. I was born and raised in Las Vegas; living in a vibrant and cinematic city, storytelling grew into a passion for visual art, which has guided me my entire life. As I continued to get older, photography grew more and more personal to me. While photography has always been representative of my own personal journey, since moving to New York two years ago I’ve had the overwhelming desire to tell other people’s story. This is probably the case for most people if you move to a new city by yourself, but during my few years in New York I felt as if I was just observing. I observed the city and the foundation of life people have built for themselves here. I began to see this feeling displayed in my work, adding a sense of intrusion. My eye has developed based on experience, inspiration, and studying. In the past two years I’ve participated in group exhibitions in Paris, New York, and Venice. I plan to continue to develop my skill set and storytelling abilities with photography in New York City.
