About Artist

Igor Brekhov

Igor Brekhov is a fine-art photographer based in Sochi, Russia. He works almost exclusively in staged, surreal black-and-white imagery built around the female figure and nocturnal metaphor - his ongoing series is titled Nocturne: impossible, quietly dreamlike scenes in which the night becomes a stage and the body a metaphor rather than a subject. After years working as an engineer, he turned fully to art photography. He has held three solo exhibitions, published a two-part photobook monograph, and his work has appeared in Vogue. His photographs reach a wide international audience.
