I retired in 2020 after a career in public health working with some of the planet’s smallest life forms – pathogenic viruses. After retirement, my focus has evolved from microbiology to biology on a larger scale, and I made the decision to dedicate the rest of my life pursuing my passion of wildlife photography and conservation. I hope to be able to use my photos to inspire and influence others to respect and take care of our planet and all the fascinating creatures that we share it with. My goal is to instill a sense of responsibility in people to protect the earth’s crucial yet fragile ecosystems, both land and sea, and to foster an understanding that not doing so will bring devastating effects to the creatures of this earth, including humans.
