Shaohan Fang 方少韩, born and raised in Fujian, China, came to the U.S. to pursue her second master's degree in art at the School of Visual Arts in 2023. Before her studies in the U.S., she studied at the Communication University of China and received a master's degree in engineering and a double degree in photography.
Her images were recognized and published in Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar, GQ Magazine, Cosmopolitan China, Flanelle Magazine, 17:23 Magazine, Infinity Magazine, etc. She is also active in commercial photography. She was invited to work with brands such as Gucci, Dior, Zegna, Burberry, Bvlgari, Tom Ford, Loewe etc. Her works have been exhibited internationally in New York and Beijing.
Her works primarily use images and installations as the main medium, exploring the predicaments and experiences of women in contemporary society from a feminist perspective. She believes that images are free to express different viewpoints and emotions through various perspectives and techniques.
