Multi-Award Winning Documentary photographer from the UK.
After 6 years of experience in the nightlife industry and volunteering on an independent lifeboat in the UK, I felt like I was in a rut with my photography work.
When the full-scale invasion of Ukraine happened in February 2022, I felt compelled to do something to help. In March, I made the decision that I would travel to Poland and use my skills as a photographer to support grassroots charities supporting displaced Ukrainians. After a short period doing this, I was asked to accompany a humanitarian aid convoy to the east of Ukraine. Little did I know that this would be the turning point of my career.
I now work for the British charity, FIRE AID, which supports lower and middle-income countries with support for their fire sector. One of those countries is Ukraine, and I have been heavily involved in producing mixed media content to support their charitable goals of donating large quantities of fire equipment and vehicles to the Ukrainian fire service. I also set up the BRAVE MINDS program, which offers fully funded, crisis and mental health support specifically for Ukrainian rescuers.
