About Artist

Nadja Herrmann

Born and raised in Germany, photography has been part of Nadja’s life from an early age. Her father was always capturing moments of her and her brother whenever he had the chance. At around eight or nine years old, Nadja was given her grandfather’s camera and shown how to load film for the very first time. Her father taught her the basics of photography, but with every frame being precious, there was little room to experiment freely as a child. About 15 years ago, Nadja returned to photography and started shooting again. Before long, friends began asking her to photograph their weddings, which eventually led to building a professional photography business. In 2017 she moved to Melbourne, Australia and since then works as a full-time photographer, capturing meaningful moments for others while continuing to reconnect with what made photography special in the first place. Between client work and running a business, Nadja still tries to make time to create images just for herself.
