Owen Emerson Prucey is an 18-year-old Japanese American photographer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Self-taught, he began exploring photography in middle school with his iPhone, developing a strong visual voice through experimentation and observation. His work spans fine art, portraiture, and conceptual imagery, emphasizing emotional depth and narrative. In 2025, Owen received 16 Official Selections and 11 Honorable Mentions at the International Photography Awards (IPA), including 7 in Fine Art. He has also received guidance from leading photographers and curators, including Mustafah Abdulaziz, Stephen Shore, Bill Shapiro, Alex Webb & Rebecca Norris Webb, Matt Eich, and Virginia Heckert, shaping his artistic vision.
