Vestiges of Devotion

An offering to Oxum, the Afro-Brazilian orixá of rivers and fresh waters. Rather than documenting the ritual, the photograph contemplates what remains: balanced stones, devotional objects and flowing water as quiet traces of faith, memory and the sacred.

About Artist

Philipe Passos

Philipe Passos is a Brazilian fine art photographer whose work explores the relationship between architecture, nature and light as a way of expanding perception. Rather than documenting places, he creates contemplative images that transform physical spaces into emotional experiences. His practice invites viewers to slow down, observe and construct their own meanings through atmosphere, silence and visual ambiguity.
