About Artist

Patrick Suhm

Patrick Suhm was born 1991 in Boulder/USA and lives and works in Berlin. He holds a degree in Speech and Performance from the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart and works as a freelance performance artist. A self-taught photographer, his work moves between documentary observation and a sensibility towards the quietly surreal, focusing on fleeting moments in which reality appears slightly suspended and identities are renegotiated. His practice is also informed by his own neurodivergent perspective on the world, particularly aphantasia - the inability to form mental imagery.
