Between Fog and Sea
A rare day above the Arctic Circle, when thick fog erased the mountains and turned the calm sea into a mirror. A pod of gentle, curious pilot whales appeared through the mist, while others moved quietly beneath the surface, so close to us that the sea became a delicate veil between two worlds.
About Artist
Enorha Guimard
My journey in wildlife conservation began in 2017, taking me from the forests of Africa to the Mediterranean sea and the Arctic landscapes of Canada, working with species ranging from big cats and elephants to dolphins, whales and Arctic wildlife. Today, my work brings together science, conservation and creativity. As an environmental consultant and marine biologist, I work at sea alongside marine industries to help reduce their impact on whales, while continuing my work with environmental organisations as a graphic designer and acoustic data analyst. Since 2022, I have also worked as a wildlife guide, following whales across the world, from the Arctic areas to the South Pacific ocean in Australia, New-Zealand and in Polynesian islands. Since 2023, I use photography and storytelling as powerful tools to share the beauty of the world as I see it through my eyes.
