About Artist
Alex Williams
Originating in the South East of England, Alex is an award-winning landscape and wildlife photographer. Spurred by desire to see the greater world Alex departed England in his early twenties, from there a spell living in the Canadian Rockies opened his eyes to the beauty of the natural world. Here he fell in love with those landscapes, he spent every moment he could hiking through the Rockies and it was these mountains that first inspired him to pick up a camera and try to capture what he saw. His path eventually led him to South America and in a serendipitous turn of events Alex was presented with an opportunity and settled in the beautiful city of Cusco, Peru in mid 2018. Here Alex began work guiding expeditions through the Peruvian Andes, building networks in the local communities and working closely with them to provide bespoke photography travel experiences to his guests. Alex then moved into the expedition cruise industry in 2022 where he began a love affair with the polar regions. Here he continues to share his knowledge and passion for the natural world and photography with guests in the Earth’s most wild and remote places.
