A tortoise-shelled ladybird rests on a leaf, taking a moment to clean itself after a long morning hunting aphids and other small insects among the foliage.
About Artist
Geran Morgan
I’m a New Zealand photographer, usually based in Australia and currently back home in New Zealand. My work is driven by curiosity and a fascination with the natural world at every scale - from the smallest insects and details revealed through macro photography to wildlife, landscapes, aerial imagery and the places and people I encounter while travelling. I’m particularly drawn to the space where art and science meet: creating images that are visually compelling while encouraging people to look closer, learn something new and appreciate details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Whether photographing wildlife in its natural environment, documenting a landscape from the air or revealing the intricate anatomy of a tiny species, I aim to create images that capture a sense of discovery and show the world from perspectives we don’t always get to see.
