Jama Elmi, Notting Hill Carnival, London 2025
Jama Elmi is a mental health support worker who spreads happiness throughout his work place, the Notting Hill community and beyond with his infectious smile and flamboyant dress sense. I wanted to capture his colourful charisma and joyful personality. Shooting in direct sunlight from a low angle helped isolate the subject against a complimentary clear blue sky making the colours pop, while adding a "larger than life" sense of drama.
