Ronaldo Camara
A photographer with articles published in Der Spiegel, Washington Post, New York Times, The Globe and many others, Ronaldo began his career in 1965 at TV Rio and worked for Manchete and O Cruzeiro, covering a variety of topics, including sports. During this period, he also worked as a freelancer for the first Brazilian men's magazine, FAIRPLAY, edited by Ziraldo. In 1970, he opened the Ronaldo Câmara Studio. For years, he was a contributor to ELA in O GLOBO, then edited by Nina Chavs. Since then, he has been taking photos for advertising, editorials, construction and architecture, and has published several books, including ARQUITETOS DO BRASIL, MARCAS DE VALOR and participated in ALMANAQUE DOS ANOS 70. He recently published O RETRATISTA, a collection of over 50 years of portraits of the most diverse Brazilian personalities, always in exclusive photos for his lens. His latest book was CRONICAS DO MAR EM FRENTE about the 100 YEARS OF LEBLON, a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro.
