Madera Canyon Summer Hummingbirds

Broad-Billed and Rufous Hummingbirds enjoy the unique "sky island" Madera Canyon in July with its reliable natural and human-provided food sources. Broad-Billed hummers are short-distance migrants (300-500 miles each way), while tiny Rufous hummers travel 2,000 miles or more each way.
