Vassilis Triantafyllou has over 40 years of global experience in television news, video production, and media management—including as a TV manager, senior producer, and cameraman for Reuters News agency. He has covered stories across the globe, including conflicts in the Middle East, the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan, natural disasters such as the Thailand tsunami, Etna volcano, as well as earthquakes, wildfires and the impact of climate change around the world. Throughout his career , he has trained and mentored numerous journalists, videographers and photographers in various countries. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including Video Journalist of the Year in 2013, Team Story of the Year in 2011, and Story of the Year in the Lifestyle category in 2004, among others. He now works as a freelance videographer , media consultant and trainer for media organizations, teaching new video journalists to craft their technique. When not working, he spends time on his canoe in the blue seas of the Aegean Sea of Greece. He is also a passionate photographer who loves capturing the beauty of nature and the essence of people through portraits. He is always eager to explore new perspectives and tell stories through the lens.
