About Artist
Harriet Pratten
Harriet Pratten is an Australian photographer raised on a grazing property in New England, NSW. Her photographic practice grew from more than a decade working in visual storytelling across southern and eastern Africa, where she co-founded Ginkgo Agency and produced award-winning documentary projects including 21 Icons and Beautiful News, and co-authored the 21 Icons book. She is drawn to moments where light, atmosphere, colour and space reveal unexpected relationships. By distilling simplicity from complexity, her photographs invite viewers to discover meaning in what might otherwise be overlooked. Her work is held in private collections. Selected exhibitions include AKIN at Maunsell Wickes Gallery, Sydney, 2025, and The Ni-Vanuatu Women Leading Climate Action for ActionAid at Women Deliver 2026, Melbourne, supported by MECCA M-POWER.
