Adam Kasperkiewicz
Adam Kasperkiewicz, born 1973, lawyer, photographer, graduate of the Wrocław School of Photography, School of Documentary in Poznań, participant in the documentary photography workshop My Fyrtel 2022 of the pix.house Foundation, student of the second year of Photography Studies of the Union of Polish Art Photographers, In March 2022, he documented the life of Lviv in the shadow of war. The photographs taken at the time made up a photo essay entitled ‘I wanted to see and tell’. In 2023, he carried out a photographic project mainly in eastern Ukraine entitled ‘ Libricide. Kill the books, kill the nation’. Photographs from this project were published in a book entitled ‘Libricide. ‘Without End’ and were presented at exhibitions in Kharkiv, Lviv, Krakow and Poznan. He has received a number of distinctions in photographic competitions, including 1st place in the National Photographic Competition ‘Where the Sources Are. Poland Ukraine, Europe( 2022), a distinction in the 9th edition of the International Photographic Competition ‘Real Portrait’( 2023), a special prize in the National Photographic Competition O!Labor Signs( 2023), a nomination to the final of the competition ‘Grand Press Photo (2024), a distinction in the International Competition organised by Photoclub Birmensdorf in Switzerland( 2024), a silver medal in the Budapest International Photo Awards( 2024), a distinction in the National Photographic Competition “Portrait”( 2024). His works were presented at post-competition exhibitions : International Biennale of Photography Definition of Space in Kilece (2022, 2024), National Photographic Competition "Poland is beautiful’ ( 2022), National Artistic Photography Exhibition in Żary ( 2023), National Photographic Competition "Such a landscape’ ( 2025).
