David Breslauer
David Breslauer is an award‑winning Utah‑based photographer, best known for his evocative landscapes and nature imagery that reflect his roots as a former photojournalist . After earning a degree in Radio, Television, and Film Production from the University of Texas, he worked at the Fort Worth Star‑Telegram, Houston Chronicle, and later for the Associated Press, where he covered everything from presidential campaigns to NBA playoffs and the Olympics. In the late 1990s, Breslauer relocated to Utah and transitioned to landscape photography, channeling his journalistic sensibilities into capturing the American West's natural beauty . Based in Park City, he’s known for photographing locales such as Yellowstone, Alaska, Big Bend, White Sands, and Utah’s wild horses—all part of his many ongoing projects and exhibitions. Breslauer has received multiple awards for his work at the Intermountain Professional Photographers Association and the Utah State Fair Photo Contests. He was honored with the “Best in Show” for both 2023 and 2024. He regularly exhibits his work locally (such as at the Park City Library) and showcases thematic series like White Horses of the Camargue, Yellowstone Winter, Alaska Eagles, and Teddy Roosevelt National Park . His visual style is rooted in storytelling: drawing from journalistic training, his images reflect emotion and place.
