Born in 1977 in Mexico City, Allan Fis is an internationally recognized visual artist and photographer known for his profound contributions to contemporary art. His work spans over two decades and has been showcased in numerous prestigious galleries and museums worldwide, including the Louvre Museum in Paris and La Biennale di Venezia. Allan’s journey began with a robust academic background, holding a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, and McGill University, Montreal. However, his passion for photography led him to pursue extensive training in both Mexico and Paris, where he honed his craft under the mentorship of renowned photographers such as Vincent Peters and Enrique Badulescu. Throughout his career, Allan has been celebrated for his unique artistic vision, blending technical mastery with an evocative exploration of human emotion and culture. His work has been featured in significant individual and collective exhibitions across the globe, earning him accolades such as Photographer of the Year at Mexico’s Fashion Digital Awards and finalist recognition in Hasselblad’s Latin American Photographer Competition. Beyond his exhibitions, Allan has contributed to the world of photography through his role as a professor, photo editor, and published author. His books, including "Retrato en voz alta" and "Living Mexico City," reflect his deep commitment to the art form and his desire to push the boundaries of visual storytelling. Allan’s work is held in esteemed collections such as the IRS Art Museum and the Contemporary Art Museum in San Luis Potosí. His influence extends beyond the gallery walls, as he has served as a juror for numerous photography competitions and TV shows, including Mexico’s Next Top Model. Allan Fis continues to create, inspire, and challenge the contemporary art world with his innovative approach to photography, making him a vital figure in the global artistic community.
