Bio
Charli Savage is a UK born, Australian raised, conceptual fine artist and photographer. Since she could read, Charli has always found pure joy in escaping into the worlds of whatever books she reads and believes her fondness for the written word ignited in her a passion for storytelling. Participating in a school drama class at fifteen gave her the opportunity to tell stories through acting and from there, dedicated her time to pursuing this path. She moved to Los Angeles for a year in her mid-20s to attend acting school, but after years of chasing this dream, she realised her passion for the craft had diminished, and decided to leave it behind. It was around this time she chose photography as her new creative endeavour. She purchased her first camera mid-2018 and spent the first few months trying different styles. It wasn’t until she discovered the world of conceptual photography and felt that passion reignite, that she knew she was on the right path. Her mission is to create visual stories through timeless art that reignites that childlike curiosity and opens your eyes to the unknown, the strange and the peculiar. Set in surreal worlds, she stretches the realms of reality and pushes the boundaries of imagination. More recently, Charli has been experimenting with new mediums, including sculpture and watercolour painting as a way to expand on her artistry and passions.
