I enjoy pushing the boundaries of reality by using techniques like intentional camera movement or by altering my photos in post-processing using a variety of apps. I’m an avid iPhone photographer and use it more often than my big camera. Having my phone with me at all times lets me capture moments and details I would otherwise miss, and knowing how to make the most of my iPhone camera allows me to leave the big camera home most of the time. I also love photographing using Lensbaby lenses (the Velvet 85 is my favorite) and the Meyer Optik Trioplan 100. The soft, ethereal glow and other effects possible with these lenses allow me to express my creativity in new ways. I am fortunate enough to live in the San Francisco Bay Area where it’s easy to find beautiful nature and architecture to photograph without going too far from home (although I also love to travel).
