Bio

Magdalena Grela is an independent social documentary photographer and visual storyteller from Poland, capturing everyday life with empathy and respect. She was mentored by legendary British photojournalist Patrick Ward, and her work has been exhibited both locally and internationally. Her photographs have been recognised with honours, including a Silver Medal in Paris, a Work of Merit from Rfotofolio, and Photographer of the Month 2025 from The Glasgow Gallery of Photography. Her photographs have reached major humanitarian organisations, including the UN Migration Agency (IOM), Sean Penn’s CORE (in partnership with the American Red Cross), and the King Charles III Charitable Fund, helping to sustain support for refugee centres.
