Bio

Nicola Fioravanti (b. 1985) is an Italian photographer based in Paris. His work centers mainly on street photography and attests to a continuous exploration of the expressive potential of color in urban environments. Rather than using color as a simple means of representing reality, he treats it as the defining element of his visual language. Nicola Fioravanti has earned recognition in some of the world’s most respected photography competitions, including the Sony World Photography Awards, International Photography Awards (IPA), Le Prix de la Photographie de Paris (PX3), and the ND Awards, among others. In 2025, he won the First Prize at the 1839 Awards Color Photography Contest, one of the most prestigious international honors dedicated to contemporary color photography. His photographs have been featured in esteemed publications such as Canon, Corriere della Sera, El País, Forbes, Vogue, and various other distinguished media outlets. Nicola Fioravanti’s work has been exhibited internationally, with notable showcases at Somerset House in London, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, and more recently at Sorbonne University, Centquatre-Paris, and the Fnac gallery in Paris. In 2024, he took part in an artistic residency at the prestigious Festival Planches Contact in Deauville, under the direction of Laura Serani, where he was awarded the Audience Award.
