Bio

I began the craft of photography almost 3 years ago after my Mom passed away and my Dad was living with my husband and I but living with Parkinson's and Dementia. I was the full time caregiver for my parents and felt a real void without my Mom and my Dad close to going into a nursing home as his medical needs were becoming more than we were qualified to handle. Photography allowed me to see things from a different perspective, visit new places but the most special was capturing the last couple of years when I visited with my Dad M-TH and just sat with him. I took a picture of him and I every day and while the faces changed and as time went on he could no longer speak, I knew that he knew I was there and he and I appreciated every minute we spent together. It was spoken through my image labeled "He handed me his heart". Photography can be a very powerful tool in more ways than one can imagine.
