My work is a series of abstract macro photographs that explore the hidden beauty within rocks and minerals. By magnifying natural formations, I reveal surreal worlds, transforming ordinary stones into art that invites contemplation and a deeper connection to Earth’s geological wonders and time.

A Stroll In the Primordial Countryside

This photograph is a macro shot of a section of a type of jasper. The area photographed is 35mm x 17mm and reveals stunning patterns, with a painterly effect. It evokes memories of a painting I saw on my first solo trip to the Saint Louis Art Museum during my high school years decades ago.

Paradigm Shift

This image is part of the interior of a rock from Indonesia that measures 1.5 inches square. The stunning natural colors and ethereal, wispy mineral formations resemble nebulae in outer space.
