I am a Belgian amateur photographer and professional architect. My photography grew from architectural work into a fascination with cinematic storytelling, particularly film noir and neo-noir. Cinematographers such as Roger Deakins, Jeff Cronenweth and Greig Fraser inspire my use of deep shadows, artificial light, strong colour contrasts and atmospheric tension.
Low-light photography is central to my work. Concerts, street theatre, nightlife and urban scenes attract me through their unpredictable light and fleeting human expressions. Rather than documenting obvious highlights, I search for quieter, ambiguous moments where gesture, light and surroundings tell a story.
My architectural background shapes my compositions through geometry, layering, negative space and spatial relationships. This approach extends to street, event and sports photography, where I explore unusual characters, isolation, movement and the interaction between people and their environment.
Curious, critical and constantly learning, I aim to develop a recognisable visual identity across different genres. Above all, I want to create images that go beyond documentation: photographs filled with atmosphere, tension and ambiguity, leaving room for viewers to imagine their own stories.
