A self-portrait from the series Das Kuckucksei (The Cuckoo's Egg), in which I wear my grandmother’s wig. My grandmother lost all her body hair due to an autoimmune disease triggered by the loss of her third child to brain cancer. Here I stage my anxiety that I've inherited the same genetic trait.
