I Was born in 1974 in a very small town in the Netherlands. As a child I grew up in between the woods. Nature and animals always attracted me. In 2023 I had a car-accident and held over a Whiplash. I decided to do something for myself this time and started at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam to become a photographer. I am in my last year now at the Fotoacademie and started a project called Creative vs. Creature. In this project I combine fashion with animal portraits to tell a little story with it. Zebra stripes is part of this project. With this serie I would like to achieve that people can see we are much more related to nature than we most of the time think. Our behaviour and animalbehaviour are much more equal. We have to respect nature. I like to make photos in a setting that is pure and is what it is. To combine natureshoots with fashion I can express myself. For my project I make studioportraits but also visiting settings in public spaces and nature. I like to be different and express myself with my photographing. I `walk`through the years of fashion with my project. From modern to historic dressings, from vintage to fairytales. I like to tell a little story and let go my fantasy. Photography means a lot of me and helping me through difficult times. When I am busy with photographing I forget my pain and sorrow. Me and my models have a lot of fun during the shootings and that´s what I like the most. I wanna make people happy and bring a little light into their lives. And if I can do that by making myself happy by the one thing I can express myself, it´s a win-win. So I hope to achieve my goal to make my dream comes true as a photographer. For now my focus is on my project and hope I will pass my exam in june 2025 at the Fotoacademie Amterdam. And after that I will go further ofcourse.
