Bio

Aliya is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative professional residing in New York. She graduated from Pratt Institute with a bachelor's degree in Photography in 2017. Shortly after graduating, she worked for artist Hank Willis Thomas, where she helped implement public art sculptures like “Unity” and “The Embrace.” In October of 2021, Aliya joined the New York Times as an Operations Manager for the photography department. Aliya is currently experimenting with photography, textiles, fashion, and writing.
