A Million Souls
This photo shows the inner life of the broccoli. A million individual souls that form a perfect unit. I took these strange insights into the otherwise unknown world of the broccoli with 60 individual shots (focus stacking). Very fascinating, magical and unbelievable at the same time.
About Artist
Jolanta Paltauf-Doburzynska
I studied mathematics and physics. Then completed a doctorate in the field of biological sciences. That's why technology and experiments have always been my passion. Then photography came along, and it developed in two directions - nature photography and macro photography. So, I'm a hobby photographer, with heart and soul. For my macro shots I very often use focus stacking (macro slide Novoflex Castel XQ II ). Evaluations and processing are carried out using the Affinity Photo software. For both macro and close-up shots, I use a DSLR NIKON camera (correspondingly with macro lens or standard lens). I really enjoy participating in competitions, creating a personal photo book or an interesting calendar. If you receive praise or an award, you feel really honored and absolutely motivated. Awards : World Masters of Photography WMPO 2025 – Gold / Contemporary Annual Photography Award - Honorable Mention / Macro & Micro 2024 I hope that this competition will bring me an award or at least praise from the top-class jury. That would be my perfect entry into the world of international photography, a great motivation and pleasure.
