Everyday BS

Everyday BS explores burnout and resilience. Working remotely as a software engineer, I captured these images by spinning in my desk chair mid-workday. This blur documents chaotic tech labor—a quiet defiance. Despite the everyday bullshit, life is as beautiful as the Big Space (BS).

About Artist

Akihiko Naito

Akihiko Naito is a visual artist who utilizes the camera as a paintbrush to create painterly photographic works. A core principle of his practice is that he does not manipulate his images after shooting; each piece is captured entirely in-camera, preserving the raw honesty of the moment. Guided by the firm belief that art can exist anywhere and at any time, his subjects are drawn from the mundane, ordinary objects that surround him in daily life. Embracing a strictly minimalist aesthetic, his primary creative spaces have historically been contained within his home office and laundry drying room.
