In Light of a Shadow
In this series I'm trying to take a closer look at geometry and texture of ordinary subjects, treading a think boundary between concrete subject and abstraction. Monochrome image allows me to emphasize the abstraction by removing colors, striping of the realism.

Originally from Russia, I lived in Dublin Ireland before settling in Washington state in 2019. I picked up photography around 2021 as my entrance into visual arts. I explore visual arts via photography without setting clear boundaries. Landscape, architecture, people - whatever is a subject I'm trying to tell a story. I'm searching for new ways of expression in my photos, trying to stay away from mainstream.
