The distorted perception
We see reality through our beliefs. Thought shapes perception, until belief becomes the lens through which we see. Cognitive blindness begins when certainty replaces observation. Is it the man who cannot see himself, or the viewer who assumes he should?

Nicola Micheletti (b. 1967, Verona, Italy) is a photographer and musician—composer, arranger and educator—based in Verona. His photographic research focuses on the constructed portrait as a narrative space. Rather than capturing a moment, he builds it, using light, gesture, objects and atmosphere to explore memory, archetype and identity, often drawing on historical, cinematic and imagined references.
